The Artifice Club

Social Media Marketing, Facebook & Twitter Channel Management, Blog and Website Content Management, Development.

Maintain Social Media Calendar and coordinate with other Channel Managers for Web, Blog, Google+, Pinterest, Tumblr., Facebook, and Twitter accounts. Coordinate with Club’s Web development and graphic design department to create marketing materials, event promotions, and capital campaigns. I also sit on the Board of Directors as the Director of Development.

For December, we once again ran an end of year capital campaign, despite the fact our website was down. With the creation of a simple landing page linked to donation levels on our Square store, we raised more than 500% over December 2014.


Sole responsibility for the look and feel of the Club’s Facebook Page since July 2013. I typically post three to four times a day. Following last year’s very successful “Steampunk Almanac,” I recently launched a new initiative, “The Retro Almanac,” with daily posts of events and persons of interest to the Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Vintage, and Retro-Futurism Communities. This represents the expanded Mission of the Artifice Club Foundation, which goes beyond Steampunk and Dieselpunk to burlesque, dark carnival/cabaret/neo-vaudevillian; as well as mid-century aesthetics such as Pinup/Bombshell and Rockabilly.

For last November’s Grimm Gear Gala: Storybook Steampunk, our 1st annual Gala Fundraiser, we activated the hashtag GrimmGear. It was moderately successful. We have since learned that most of our Members prefer Instagram, which makes sense as we are a Cosplay community and the whole point is to show off your Costuming and Maker skills! We will be implementing an Instagram campaign for our next event in March, The Gaslamp Gala.
